Asmongold Shares Thoughts On Destiny’s Ban

Asmongold has spoken out against Destiny’s “indefinite” Twitch ban, claiming that Twitch may have really helped him out.

On March 23rd, Twitch permanently banned Destiny. The streamer explained on YouTube after the news surfaced that it was due to him breaking hateful conduct regulations. Destiny is known for generating politically charged content in which he hosts debates and interviews with major figures. Destiny also provides analysis and insight into widely discussed events in the mainstream media.

His time hosting such sessions on Twitch, however, has come to an end, causing other streaming star Asmongold to weigh in on the matter.

When Twitch streamers are banned from the network, they are frequently provided the rules they breached, but no information about how or when they broke them. Destiny explained during a YouTube stream that he was banned by Twitch for violating the “hateful conduct” rules.

“Twitch never tells me why I get banned,” the streamer said of his experience with Twitch bans.

Asmongold believes that Destiny’s decision to totally relocate his brand to YouTube could potentially be a blessing in disguise. In response to Twitch’s permanent ban on Destiny, Asmongold discussed how Twitch has helped Destiny improve his brand as he transitions to YouTube as his major platform.

Asmongold says during his live broadcast; “My honest opinion about the Destiny ban is that they did him a favor. Destiny has cut his more controversial and edgy content–where he shines as a content creator, and I think they did him a favor by banning him. He can move over to Youtube to produce content with better integrity, depth, and more complexity. He can explore boundaries that Twitch prevented him from doing [politically].”

With Destiny’s ability to share live content now restricted, it will be fascinating to see how this affects the political landscapes of Twitch and YouTube in the long run.
