Asmongold Offers Thoughts On Matpat

According to TwitchTracker, Asmongold has been at the top of Twitch over the previous few weeks, averaging nearly 250,000 concurrent viewers. This is mostly due to Asmongold’s participation in the enormously successful MMO Lost Ark. He does, however, occasionally show a few YouTube videos for his followers to watch and comment on.

Asmongold was replying to one of Matpat’s newest Game Theory videos on YouTube during a stream earlier today when he noticed something about the Twitch chat used in a particular segment. After learning the dialogue was his own from the day Reckful died, the streamer abruptly halted the video. 

Asmongold stated; “I find it’s kind of like, I mean, I don’t know, I find it’s kind of in bad taste to use my chat on the day that Reckful died,”

When word surfaced about Reckful, a fellow Twitch streamer who died on July 2, 2020, Asmongold was live on Twitch. After hearing of his death, the Twitch veteran was shocked, and he even donated $15,000 to suicide prevention in his honor. 

Asmongold said to his fans while discussing Matpat’s video; “You could use any chat, I mean like, why do that? It’s just a bit much man.”

Matpat’s “Game Theory: Dear Twitch, Grow Up!” has not gone unnoticed by other streamers. As Ludwig also commented to the video less than a week ago, pointing out the several mistakes he discovered.
