Asmongold And Activision Blizzard Lawsuit

Being a long-time World of Warcraft streamer, twitch streamer Zack aka Asmongold has spoken out surrounding the ongoing lawsuit against Activision Blizzard.

Activision Blizzard was the giant behind titles like Call of Duty, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft. Recently, they are being sued for fostering a “frat boy” culture where women in the workplace are sexually harassed and are given unequal pay. The lawsuit was filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing or DFEH.

Now, Asmongold has tweeted out about the ongoing Activision Blizzard lawsuit. Asmongold is a popular twitch streamer and a long time World of Warcraft streamer who has had a very publicly tense relationship with Activision Blizzard in the past few weeks.

On July 21st after the news about the lawsuit broke the internet, Asmongold tweeted out calling out the company for their “shameful” behavior.

Here’s what he wrote; “Shameful to hear about what’s been reportedly going on at Blizzard. As a 20+ year fan it really hurts to see how things have devolved in such an awful way. Just makes me sad.” Asmongold’s tweet may be short, but the message behind it is incredibly powerful, concluding that he says that it makes him sad.

Aside from Asmongold, several streamers and content creators who focused on both Activision and Blizzard titles have also spoken out about the situation. OpTic’s CoD focused creator Davis Edwards aka Hitch also tweeted out stating that the situation makes him sick. YouTuber OrdinaryGamers has encouraged players to uninstall Warzone and start playing a game from their competitors.

It’ll be interesting to see whether or not Asmongold addresses this situation on stream. He’s actively addressed one of Blizzard’s devs calling him an “a**hole,” and isn’t one to shy away from controversial topics.
