Adin Ross Suspended For Texting & Driving

Popular YouTuber and Twitch Streamer Adin Ross was recently suspended from streaming platform Twitch for the fourth time after he was spotted repeatedly during his broadcast using his phone while driving.

During Adin Ross’ July 7th stream, he decided to change up his stream and took his viewers to the streets doing IRL. While streaming, he regularly checked his phone while driving, responding to messages and Twitch chat comments.

Twitch community guidelines state that any illegal activity will be punishable by suspension and also that includes California state law that also states that driving while using a handheld cellular device or texting is a crime.

The said violation of Adin Ross carries a fine of $175 for first offense and $500 for following charges.

The streaming platform Twitch suspended Adin Ross on July 7th following his broadcast. JakeNbake, Adin’s fellow streamer called out the platform for inconsistencies regarding their ban reasons knowing that he was also suspended last March for a similar driving incident.

Adin Ross says that he believes that his suspension may be permanent and admits that it is not good at all. He also admitted that he was 100% in the wrong and apologized. He also shared how he is shaken by what happened and that he feels horrible about it.

Later that day, he went live on Instagram to apologize even more. He said that it’s no one else’s fault but his and that he is having the worst anxiety of his life. He shared that he hasn’t got anything back yet from Twitch that’s why he thinks it was permanent.

He also doubled down on his claims saying that he was at a red light when he texted and despite several Twitch clips shared on other social media showing otherwise, he said that he’s going to appeal it and seems sure that he’s at the red stop lighthuring his IRL stream.

He also said that he isn’t blaming the platform and taking full accountability to what happened.

Last July 9th, Adin Ross confirmed that he already heard from the platform and it gave him a seven day suspension due to the incident.

Adin Ross admitted that he was at fault for texting and driving. He said that he could’ve killed somebody doing that and said to the platform that they did the right thing and said that he really deserved the ban and that he’s just gonna learn and be better.
