Adin Ross Banned

Twitch’s fast rising star Adin Ross was handed a suspension on Twitch after being caught texting while driving during an IRL live stream.

Since the beginning of 2021, Adin Ross has emerged as one of the most popular streamers on Twitch. He recently registered an all-time subscriber high of 64,407 in June and had more than 46k subscribers.

Now, Adin Ross has been banned from the platform after breaching the platform’s rules pertaining to using his phone while driving. During his recent stream, Adin was seen staring down and messaging on his mobile phone while at the wheel of a car. Despite not streaming from the device, being on the phone while driving is illegal, so the use of a mobile phone in this situation still constitutes a bannable offence as the act breaches the platform’s rules against any content that breaks the law.

After the ban, Adin Ross posted on twitter discussing his actions claiming to take full responsibility and fearing that it could mean a permanent suspension of his account. He wrote; “Just got banned by Twitch… I think it’s a perm. This is not good AT ALL. I was at a red light during my IRL stream and I read a chat off of my phone. I am 100% in the wrong, I’m so sorry… I don’t know when I’m gonna be back.” He also shared a response to the StreamerBans post regarding Twitch’s enforcement on his account in which he apologized and reiterated he was 100 percent in the wrong.

Later in the day, Adin Ross also went live on Instagram to apologize for his mistake and share some details about his ban. He said; “I’m really, really sorry guys. It’s no one else’s fault but mine. I’m having the worst anxiety of my life. I haven’t got anything back yet. I think it was permanent.”

Even though Adin’s fans aren’t happy to learn about his latest ban, the streamer isn’t new to being suspended as this was Adin Ross’ fourth suspension overall, and it came at a time when he was the fifth most subscribed streamer on the platform.

Right now, it isn’t entirely clear how long Adin’s suspension will be in effect.
